There's much to see here. So, take your time, look around, and learn all there is to know about us. We hope you enjoy our site and online store.
The vast majority of our clients choose the Made to Order service. That way, they can choose exactly what they would like - colour, wood, trim, buttons.....
You can message or email us on sandie@sandiebunyan.co.uk to talk about what you'd like and we can sent you images of suggested alternative materials.
Sometimes, we have props that are ready to be despatched, usually within 48 hours of ordering. These items will be as photographed, clients can't make changes to the items. RTS items will be clearly marked. These items are usually despatched in 4-6 weeks from order and we do all we can to minimise that time.
All our products are delicate and need to be cared for very gently.
Our Silk Bonnets and any item trimmed with velvet or silk should not be washed. Dry cleaning is alright but check with your dry-cleaning service. We don’t accept any responsibility should dry cleaning not be successful. Alternatively, spot clean with a gentle cleanser, taking care not to rub or cross colours.
All woollen or wool based items should be hand washed at max 30°C. DO NOT WRING any items. Gently squeeze water out without twisting the garment. Dry flat and out of sunlight to avoid colour bleaching.
If you must iron a product, do so by pressing a cool iron, through a piece of cotton such as a pillowcase, in a press and lift fashion. Do not press and push across the fabric as this will stretch the fabric and misshape it
As order are Made To Order, we do not allow exchanges or returns unless products are faulty. If you receive a faulty product, you should advise us via message or email within 48 hours of receipt and then return the product within five working days of receipt. You must obtain a proof of posting receipt.
We always send parcels with Royal Mail first class, signed for and insured. Good are normally delivered 1-3 working days from posting in the UK, overseas takes longer. We are not responsible for delays in delivery. If a parcel does not arrive, customers will be required to assist us by providing all required information for the paperwork in order that we can make a claim. Refunds or replacements products will not be provided until the Post Office accepts the claim.
Please note that for orders outside the UK, we cannot be held responsible for items that are lost once they leave the UK, In the unlikely events that an order goes missing and the Royal Mail tracking system says that it has not been delivered/lost/damage, we will work with customers to claim back the value of the parcel. If Royal Mail tracking says that the item has been delivered with a tracked time, then we will do what we can to support the customer who may wish to make a claim. PLEASE NOTE THAT AT THE MOMENT, COVID IS IMPACTING DELIVERY TIMES AND ON OCCASION IT MAY NOT BE POSSIBLE TO GET A SIGNATURE TO VERIFY A DELIVERY. THE DELIVERY WILL STILL BE DEEMED TO HAVE OCCURRED IF THE TRACKING SYSTEM GIVES A TIME OF DELIVERY.
Our products are made for use solely as newborn photography props. They must be used by experienced photographers and are not for general wear. Products users should always exercise close supervision, whilst our products are in use.
The products on this site may be used by photographers when taking images of babies, with appropriate use as above. However, our products may not be used in the production of digital backdrops /images which are later resold (including but not exclusively those digital backdrops/images with blank faces) because this impacts our company's potential income.
Unless stated Ready to Send, all items are made to order. Processing time can be anything from 4-6 weeks depending of availability of materials and current workloads. Shipping time is extra. If we receive orders that are likely to take +6weeks we will be in touch and confirm that the delay is acceptable. If it is not, then we will process a refund immediately. We will provide proof that has been done but we are not responsible for how long it takes for funds to appear in your account.
That said, if you have an urgent requirement, please email us and we will do what we can to help.
We are not responsible for any customs charges that might be due when shipping overseas. If your local authority requests a customs fee and you do not collect your order or pay it, you will not be able to claim a refund from us. The items will be deemed to have been delivered..
Please note that for orders outside the UK, we cannot be held responsible for items that are lost once they leave the UK, In the unlikely events that an order goes missing and the Royal Mail tracking system says that it has not been delivered/lost/damage, we will work with customers to claim back the value of the parcel. As we are a small company, we do not charge VAT.
Whilst we do all we can to show correct colour in the images on our site, we cannot guarantee this. Do not rely on the colour name of any shade of wool to be a correct description, its merely the name given by the manufacturer. Colours names are known to be subjective and open to personal interpretation. If you wish, we are happy to send our wool swatches if we have the item in stock – there is a £1 charge for this, and you can find this under Misc. in the product range.
Also, if you want to order something in the same wool and colour as an item already received, we cannot guarantee that they will match as the dye lot is likely to be different. However, dye lot consistency is usually quite reliable.
If we are unable to source the materials need for your order, we will advise you as soon as possible and suggest an alternative material. If you are unhappy with the suggestion, then you will be offered a full refund for the item.
Orders may not be cancelled however we will consider any request individually if we have not already ordered the material for the order. Please submit any such request to us via message or email.
Sometimes we may include links to other websites, usually of other vendors that we have worked with or are happy to recommend. We take no responsibility for the content of all such sites.
Use of other photographers’ images on our site is always done with their written permission. Copyright of those images remains with the photographer and images should not be downloaded or copied.
